We wouldn't be having this much fun without the awesome baseball players who play Cowboys baseball. This is just a few.

What a great weekend, sitting in the sun and enjoying a great game of baseball with family and friends.

Jeff and Krista Hutchins have been the angels in the outfield for the past 4 or 5 years. Every year when we go down to St. George for baseball they feed the baseball team, coaches and families a wonderful dinner. Thanks to the Hutchins for their kind generosity, we love you guys!

The Bus: bahaha!!! The boys are use to having the best of the best but not this time. As coach Anderson described it as the bus from the movie major league. It looked like it came out of the 1970's. The air conditioning was a hole in the ceiling, it shook as it reached 50 miles an hour and it had black smoke streaming out of it. We were just relieved to have the boys arrive at each destination.lol

The Cowboys sure did end the weekend on a high. They had 2 great wins against Wasatch and Carbon. That made for happy coaches, happy baseball players and happy fans.

High School Sweethearts

The first time I noticed Loren was on a baseball field when he was 15. How ironic is that!! He was the pitcher and I was the spectator. Everyone in the stand was calling him love and boy was that for sure. He was gorgeous and I needed to know everything about him. Needless to say that I never missed another baseball game after that. He was an awesome athlete!! He played all sports and won many recognitions including the Phil Didericksen award for the Best athlete in Tooele County. I loved to watch him play basketball, he had so much finess and athletic talent. He always took the game, whatever it may have been, very seriously. I was his girlfriend everyday of the week except game day. That sucked but I felt like I had landed the most wanted guy in the school so I was ok with that:)

After alot of flirtation we finally went out on a date he was 15 and I was almost 17. Yes I definitly robbed the craddle with no regrets!!! We went to a movie and it took him all through the show to hold my hand. When he finally got the courage the movie ended. bummer:( Well that date was all it took and we were hooked. We dated for 2 years and then I was off to college. We broke up and went our seperate ways literally. He almost got engaged and I married another man. After a terrible divorce it was only obvious to me that there was still a man in my life that I loved and needed. I never stopped loving him and to this very day that will never change. I am still in love with that 15 year old boy in a baseball uniform!!

I had a friend once say to me, I look at my trials and think what am I to learn from this. This friend had many trials in her life and i loved her positive attitude. It has taken me alot of growing up to gain the wisdom of this statement. I look back at some of my trials I have had to endure; a divorce, infertility, the heartaches of motherhood, asthma and the loss of both my parents. Those moments in my life I thought it was the end all and that I just couldn't go on. Now I look back and am grateful for those same trials that made me who I am today. A stronger more empathetic person. I am grateful for my life that I have lived for without it I wouldn't be me and I wouldn't have those important people in my life that mean so much too me.

On Wednesday June 2, 2010 at 1:27 pm Loren and I became Grandparents. Hillary and Andrew had a beautiful baby boy named Landon Keith Hawker 6 lbs and 2 ounces 18 inches long. (tiny little guy) I am so in love!

Well I went back to work at the bakery and I am finding out that my body isn't what it use to be.lol The back is aching, the tendons and muscles are killing me and if I get anything out of this besides a paycheck it would be losing 10 pounds.lol It is so funny how reality sets in and you realize you are not as limber or as in shape as the good old days. The bad thing about it is the house is suffering and the last thing I want to do is cook and clean when I am doing that for 7 hours everynight at work. I have learned that wonder woman was just a fantasy character and she really does not exist at least in this household. I am who I am and I can only do my best. Ya just gotta love me for that.

I probably don't tell my children enough. I love them with all my heart. I wanted to write down all that happened so that I don't have to return 50 phone calls and texts so I thought this would be a great way to reach all of you. We had a big scare on Thursday. J.D. our youngest had a Terrible asthma attack. His oxygen levels were dangerously low and we could of lost him if I wouldn't of rushed him to my doctor when I did, which the thought of that has made me physically sick. The What if I wouldn't of haunts me. We spent 9 hours between the doctor's office and emergency room trying to get him stablized and keeping him stable. It was so scarey and I have never felt so helpless. We had to have him on oxygen to transport him to primary children's hospital and even with that my doctor was very nervous. He had never witnessed such a bad attack. By the way I have the greatest doctor in the world. I am pretty sure no other Doctor would do all that he did for my son, even Primary children's hospital were amazed at all he did. If it wasn't for him?? He loves J.D. so much!! His name is Dr. Darrin Smith and he is the greatest. Along with the asthma he had 103 temperature, was profusely throwing up, couldn't talk and couldn't stand up.

Thanks to my wonderful husband who is always by side. He is a wonderful husband and father and I am so grateful for that. I am also grateful to my Father in Heaven who was looking over J.D. through the whole ordeal and who knew that he has a greater mission on earth to fullfill. I want all of you who are reading this to take time today to hug your mate and your children and tell them you love them. There is no greater thing on earth as family and sometimes we need to stop in our busy lives and take time for what is really important. I love all of you. Thanks for all of your prayers!

A Very Sad Day

I awoke to a very sad phone call. My dear friend Robin Baird passed away this morning. My heart goes out to Annette and her family especially to my sweet niece Emily. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Robin was just too good of a person to live on this earth. He did so very much for people in this community. I worked for Robin for 7 years off and on at his fast food drive inn and he became such a mentor for me. I watched him always feed the missionaries free, I saw him give out tons and tons of free food to people as they came to the drive inn. If someone's order was wrong Robin would disappear for awhile because he would be taking free food to that person's place and apologizing. I remember the huge fire out west of Grantsville and how him and I worked tirelessly to try and feed all those firefighters that day and yes he did it without charging any of them a penny. I watched him as he shared the gospel with one of our co workers and remember the day that we was able to go to her baptism and how excited he was. I watched his love for Annette grow stronger and stronger each day and his happiness grew with each day he was with her. She was the best thing that ever happened to Robin. Then I listened at work as he lovingly talked about his children. I watched him support all the athletic programs at Grantsville High and his famous wall where he posted the pics and newspaper clippings for all to see. He gave so much of himself to this community that it would be too numerous to say all in one post. So with that, I will miss you dearly Robin you are the Greatest!! This community is feeling a great loss this day.

A week of trials

Most of you know that J.D. received a bad hit to the back with a helmet. He couldn't feel his legs or feet so we took him by Ambulance to Primary children's hospital. He spent 2 days in the hospital flat on his back and they diagnosed him with a compression fracture of the lower spine. He is home and doing great!!! It has been a nightmare keeping him calm.
Then just when we start to get back on our feet again our basement floods and the insurance will not cover it. We have been pulling up carpet and knocking out the drywall which will have to be replaced. It affected two bedrooms downstairs. One of my friends told me that bad things happen in three's. I still have one more to go. That made me so nervous that I got up this morning and check the dog to see if she was dead.lol I think I am losing it!!

Now for those of you that know me I have been drinking pepsi since I was 2 years old.(this is a fact) Yes it is true my mom must of been to tired to fight me. You might want to stay 50 feet away from me for a week because of my withdrawl and mood swings. lol I have never accomplished this feat. Pray for me!!

As most of you already know, Scrapbooking is my passion. I am starting to wonder though if I have taken it a little to far. I am trying to scrapbook everything I see.lol
I have learned that you can scrapbook yourself a very nice pair of slippers out of sanitary napkins, yea you heard right. Also if your hem falls out before an important event and you do not have a sewing kit or a stapler you can always use Scrapbooking glue dots. My latest new finding is if you are trying to save money in this awful recession and cannot find an excuse to get a pedicure you can do your own and use those cute little scrapbooking rubons to put on your big toe. Wa la it looks professional to me.... Yes indeed I have lost my mind and heart to scrapbooking...

I am doing a class on how to make these darling treasure boxes. The class is Monday June 8th at 6:30 pm at my home. There is no cost for the class but you are required to place a $20 order out of our New Close to my Heart Catalog. You will also need to bring your own ribbon and embellishments. We will be using the Bella paper packet which colors are Cream Brulee, Hollyhock, Olive and Smokey plum. You will also need to bring a good scrapbooking adhesive. Glue sticks will not work. Forever Strong is the most awesome sports movie out there in my opinion. It is a movie that every young man should watch. It is a true story about the Highland Rugby team and part of it was filmed right on our Grantsville High Football field. In fact you will see a few of our own in the movie such as J.D.'s 4th grade teacher Mr. Thomas and one of the students at Grantsville High, Jason Arbon among others. The fact that I love this movie really has nothing to do about being filmed in Grantsville, but about the coach and the love he had for these boys. I love how he taught these young men morals and standards on and off the field. He taught them that hard work pays off and caring about each other is vitally important in their success. Well I am sure my husband will be reading this and probably has figured out his father's day gift but I had to share with all of you that you can preorder this movie at deseretbook.com today, May 5th and tomorrow May 6th for a discounted price. This movie is a definite must for your movie library.

Jr. Prom goes great, whew!

The prom went very well considering the awful week trying to get everything put together. I have decided that it is easier to send a girl to the prom than a boy. We finally got a limousine reserved, reservations at the restaurant, coursage, and tuxedo ordered. The hardest part was trying to get these 7 boys together to make the final plans. Finally I just did everything and then printed out a memo for every boy with times to meet, how much everything was and all the final plans ect. then Kyle handed them out. The morning of the prom the whole group of kids 14 to be exact plus a few stragglers went to Boondocks and had a blaste. They all went to get their dates at 3:30 and met at the school to get in the Limo. The Limo driver turned out to be lots of fun, he brought a Ford Excursion stretch Limo and Kyle was in Heaven.lol He went with Melissa Baird who looked absolutely beautiful. They went to the Roof in the Joseph Smith Memorial building to eat dinner, then returned to the prom. The prom was beautiful and everything went well. After they went to Dallin Littlefield's to watch the movie Bedtime stories on a huge screen T.V. but all of them fell asleep. They were all exhausted. Kyle went with a great group of kids and I had no worries!! Kyle was home by 1:00 and Mom is finally sleeping like a baby.lol Kyle looked so handsome!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone was coming up to him at the prom expecially lots of moms and was bragging to him how handsome he looked. Of course I smiled with pride. tee hee

Wow!! Our Grantsville High School baseball team (in which my very handsome husband is the coach.lol) is really lighting them up. We have started the season with an impressive 4-0 win streak. Loren has decided not to shave as long as they keep winning. I am hoping that he looks like Moses by the end of the season. Go Cowboys!!

The Big Jr. Prom

As most of you know, the last child that I sent to the prom did not have a fairytale ending. Hillary got into a terrible car accident the night of her prom and gave us all a scare. She never made it to the prom, she spent it in the emergency room. I was the one who talked her into going and I have felt very guilty since.

So when it came to my handsome son (Kyle) I was not going to push him into going to his Jr. Prom and boy was I surprised when he decided to go. Don't get too excited because he still refuses to Promanade. He has asked a really Cute and sweet girl to go with him, Melissa Baird.

I wanted to share the cute way that he asked her and her cute response back. Before I do that I want to tell my niece Krista, Thank you for all your help in finding limos, flowers and your cute creative ideas. You see Krista has been planning Ty's prom for 17 years and so she was right there to help me get everything together at the last minute. You are awesome, Krista. Love Ya! This has already been so fun and exciting.

Finishing 4th grade for the 4th time

If you have been around me lately you have probably heard me say, "I hate the 4th grade."lol That is because I have felt like I have taken 4th grade four different times with me being first, then Hillary, then Kyle and finally J.D. I will not miss the fourth grade. Sorry to all those teachers out there. Each month we are asked to do a book report not an ordinary book report. One month it was a mobile another month it was a scence in a shoebox and oh my favorite a puppet. Don't get me wrong I am all for education but I do wonder who is getting the education repeatedly. Then there is the big 4th grade county float which has gave me great stress. As a born and raised Grantsvillite it is a known fact that this is a big deal just as the 1st. grade circus was. I asked all of J.D.'s friends how many of them actually did their own float only to get the same repeated answer, "I didn't even touch my float my mom, dad ect. did my float." The real sad thing is for the people that have just moved here and have no clue of the 4th grade float's importance. It is indeed exciting to go to the program and gaze upon these floats only to ohhh and awww over them. Then you come to that one child who's family has no clue of it's importance and it is only obvious that the child was left to their own to create. I am so glad to finish fourth grade for the final time.lol Oh and by the way, thanks Kyle for your creative hand in doing J.D.'s float. I guarantee you it won't be your last. tee hee

On march 27, 2009 my beautiful daughter who I always referred to as princess turned 20. I marvel at what a beautiful young woman you have turned into both on the inside and out. Have you hugged your children today and told them that you love them?

That has been my thought today after that terrible accident Saturday that took three young lives and after I received my own scarey phone call this morning. Hillary my daughter called me this morning to tell me she had been in a car accident. For those that know us well you will remember that this is not the first time I have received that dreaded phone call. Hillary got in a real bad accident going to her Jr. prom a couple of years ago. So when I received the call this morning I lost it. She is totally fine. Her friend was driving and lost control of the car. They fish tailed and went into a spin across lanes of the highway and hit a cememt barrier. Other than being very shook up and a broken tail light they were ok. My heart goes out to those families that received that dreaded phone call Saturday. I knew 2 of the families, One of them I know well and it was her only son, he was my daughter's age. I will pray for them and my heart aches for them. I will also make it a point to hug and tell my children I love them.

This past week is a week that I dread every year. Yea, we survived cut week!! Baseball has officially started. Every year I hold my breath as Loren does baseball tryouts wondering who will not acknowledge me in the store or at church because their son was cut. I am happy to say that there were no friends or family or ward members involved this year. Yea!!! I am so looking forward to sitting in the sun (?) relaxing and watching a good baseball game. Today is suppose to be our first baseball game but I do believe that may not happen with the weather.

I was asked to speak at an Enrichment night in Stansbury. Brooke Castagno asked if I would take a few minutes and talk about being an adoptive Mother. Her mom, Gaye Shields had put this program together and it was fantastic!! The program was all about moms and being a woman. It was fashioned to fit with Janice Kapp Perry songs. There were segments from a young couple losing their baby to adoptive moms and people who had to give a baby up. Jody Cook talked about losing her mom at the age of 26. The program talked about friends, moms and Grandmas. It ended with a woman who has lived her full life and now her husband (love of her life) was dyeing and she is looking forward to seeing his face again on the other side. I took Hillary with me and she sat in the audience and I had to sit on the stand. We would look at each other and smile then cry all through the meeting. It was such a spiritual meeting and it really touched my heart. After the meeting, the Grandma that talked about having to give up her granddaughter for adoption came and gave me a hug and thanked me for reassuring her of their decision. I am so thankful for the gift of motherhood. I love being a mom and I treasure my children. I am so thankful to be the daughter of one of the most outstanding moms that was ever to be. How blessed I have been.

Most of you know that I am a Close to my Heart Consultant and I love every minute of it. There are alot of perks such as keeping up with my own personal scrapbooking. I have about 16 full completed albums. I have a team of 32 consultants that I manage which is the funnest part of my job. I have gained tons of good friends from my little business. I love seeing people create something and the excitement on their faces when they are done. I have to say that December was absolutely my favorite month of the year last year. Loren had alot of days off and no coaching responsibilities and it was so awesome to have him home and all to myself. I know I sound a little selfish and well I am. We are going on 14 years of Loren coaching high school ball. First basketball, then Football and last but not least(at least I think last??) baseball. It probably wouldn't be so hard except for the fact that he still works a full time Job on top of that. I know he loves coaching and he is very good at it and so I try not to complain but it gets kinda hard when I don't see him most of the year. It is kinda weird but I am finding it harder now that my children are growing up and moving on. Coaching is definitly a talent that Loren has been blessed with. I love seeing him suceed and the smile on his face when the boys play well, but I will not lie I would rather have him home with us or coaching J.D. I have had alot of people ask me how I do it and my answer is it is easy when it makes him so happy. Because I love him so much I will alway be there to support him. Hey Coach I think you are the greatest!!!

Loren and I got a huge bag of candy and it was like being a kid again.lol J.D. is getting older and Halloween just wasn't the same this year. I'm sad! He wasn't as excited about it this year and he just went with his friends and left mom and Dad home. Sad my baby is growing up.

J.D. my tough little running back. Nothing and nobody gets in his way. When we played Woods Cross one of their coaches singled out my son and was yelling at his players to hit #34 (J.D.) and to hit hit him hard, put him down. He also had his players doing some pretty dirty things on the field. Need less to say Loren and Wayne were furious and I was a nervous wreck. Wayne and Loren called the other coach on his questionable sportsmanship. This almost started a fist fight and the police were called over. That coach was unbelievable.

I know that alot of you have given up on me blogging but I am trying to repent. Things that have been going on in the Anderson Family...
Hillary got her patriarchal blessing and it was beautiful. I am so proud of her and how she has grown up to be such a good girl. We have got really close.
Kyle is my workaholic. If he is not at school, he is at work. He is given up on girls for a while and mom is happy to not have that worry. Kyle is a good kid.
J.D. is playing for the Gremlin's state football championship on Saturday. Loren and Wayne Stanworth are the coaches. They are undefeated and have not been scored on by any team. I am so excited for them. J.D. is the running back and has been given a great gift of talent when it comes to Athletics.
Loren is loving coaching J.D. and has now decided to coach his Jr. Jazz team. Loren also got put in as the Asst. ward clerk. I told him he was working his way up to Bishop and he didn't think I was funny. There has got to be a reason why I have endured 13 plus years of coaching, in preparation to be a Bishop's wife. lol
Me- I am enjoying my children and husband, still scrapbooking and I'm still in the Primary Presidency in which I love. I love being with the little children. They are so loving and unjudgemental. I have so many blessings and I am so Thankful to my Heavenly Father for each and every one of those blessings. I will try to do better at posting more often

I am sure most of you already know that I have signed up to be a Jewelry Consultant for a company called, Jewels by Park Lane. So I am now a Jewelry consultant, Scrapbooking consultant and a Mary Kay consultant. Yes I have lost my mind or maybe I am just board. One thing I love about being a Jewelry consultant is that I get lots of free beautiful jewelry and I love jewelry. This company is also a great money maker so I can make a little extra for upcoming missions, weddings, college and whatever else comes our way. If you would like to have a party and get lots of free jewelry give me a buzz.

I went to the mail today and there was a beautiful pendent sent to me by Close to my Heart for 5 years of Service. Most of you already know that I sell scrapbooking products and teach others how to scrapbook. I can't believe it has been 5 years. wow! I have the best job because i get to stay at home and do something I love while making money. It is Awesome!! One of the best parts of my job is meeting so many new friends. I love to create. It gives me a feeling of great accomplishment. I never was very good at keeping a journal so this is my way of documenting my family's history and stories. I have 13 complete scrapbooks done. My children love to show them to their friends. This job has been so rewarding in so many ways. I hope I am still with close to my Heart in the next 5 years.

Hillary goes on a blind date

My Beautiful daughter Hillary went on a blind date last night with a guy that Hillary's friend set her up with. He called her again today to see if she wanted to go out again tonight. They texted and talked on the phone all day today. He is 20, turning 21 this year, his name is Scott, he lives in Sandy and he is LDS. He comes from a home with 7 siblings. I met him tonight and he is a cutie. He was the Salutorian (sp) of Cyprus High. It is kinda scarey to let your daughter go out with a total stranger. He seems to be really nice. Call me the nervous mom if you want, yeah she is 19 but you never stop worrying.

As usual, we spent the morning of the 4th at my brother Dean's house, waiting for the parade and having breakfast. Not only was it Independence Day, but we recieved the news that my nephew Shaun and his wife Emily welcomed their new baby boy, Lincoln Shaun Johnson, into the world at around 2 am.
